Our lab is fully stocked with two chemistry machines, CBC machine, coag. machine and the ability to transfer all lab work into the computer. We have one nurse and one vet assistant that are in the lab every morning from Monday to Friday until 5pm and then our emergency team runs all the blood work from that point. We also send some bloodwork out to local labs for testing; but everything that can be run in our lab we do, for quicker results.

Our in-house capabilities such as CBC (complete blood count), biochemical evaluation, urinalysis, various fecal evaluations, and a variety of toxic screens allow for thorough initial pet evaluation. In addition, as these diagnostics are performed in our hospital, the results are available that same day allowing for rapid determination of the next step for your pet. These tests are available 24 hours per day/7 days per week.

During the day, our laboratory in-house certified technician also performs more advanced fluid and blood smear evaluations on a same-day basis. This will save again on time with certain more advanced diagnostics. Working with our staff doctors, more information is gathered that is not always reported by in-house machines, again allowing for more complete evaluation of your pet’s condition, helping to guide our staff in caring for your pet.
Our certified laboratory technician and laboratory assistant work tirelessly throughout the day to allow for the extensive array of efficient same-day diagnostics available to your pet at our hospital.

During our evening and weekend hours, this same in-house laboratory is available staffed by our certified technicians at night.

ALL OF THIS ALLOWS OUR HOSPITAL TO PROVIDE A HIGH LEVEL OF LABORATORY ASSESSMENT FOR YOUR PET WHETHER IT IS DURING THE DAY OR AT ANY HOUR OF THE NIGHT.
