Communication with your Regular Veterinarian

Communication with your regular veterinarian is essential to your pet's long term care. It allows for him/her to be fully updated on your pet's condition allowing for informed decisions on your pet's management in the future. He or she will receive some form of update (phone call or summary letter) within 24 hours of your pet's visit. Upon final discharge, a written summary is always sent to your veterinarian.

Test Results

In-house test results will always be discussed that same day. Please know that as soon as results are available a member of the medicine team will call you. Many of these require samples be submitted all over the country for evaluation. Cytology results typically return in 1-2 business days. Biopsy results typically return in 3-5 business days. Cultures (depending on the type) typically take
anywhere from 4 days to 2 weeks for final results. Other tests have a variety of return times. Please
